Chinese Panda Palladium Bullion Coin
The first palladium Panda bullion coins
were struck in 1989, but none were produced
again until 8,000 proof ½ oz.
pure palladium Panda 100 Yuan bullion
coins were authorized by The People’s
Bank of China in 2004. Known as the
“Kissing Pandas” because
of the loving portrayal of a mother
and its cub, these palladium Panda bullion
coins are far rarer than their gold
or silver counterparts. 75,000 ½
oz. gold and 600,000 1 oz. silver Pandas
were minted the same year.
